Jesus - Fact or Fiction

A New Life is exactly what God promises to give everyone who puts their faith in Jesus Christ, His Son. The Bible says, “If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation…a brand new person !, old things have passed away, and all things have become new !” (2 Cor. 5:17).  We all have a common problem, and we all have an answer, if we will take it! 

Our problem :

We’ve all sinned (Rom. 3 :23) ! That means we’ve missed the mark of God’s perfection, gone our own way , in thought, word or deed ; probably in all of them !
Sin separates us from the One person we most dearly need in our lives…God ! (Isa. 59:2), and has both temporal and eternal consequences (Rom.6:23). Everything destructive in our world has come into our lives because of sin-either ours, or someone else’s against us.
There are only two spiritual kingdoms in this world…God’s and satan’s. the devil has many deceptive faces, many false religions, but he is a destroyer, and until we surrender our lives to Jesus Christ, we remain subject to satan’s destructive rule, and unable to save ourselves. (Jn.10:10).
 

Our Answer :

1.      God so loved us that He sent His Son Jesus as the perfect expression of His nature…to show us what he is like, and to pay the price for our sins, as a substitute, so that we would not be condemned but have eternal Life instead (Jn.3:16-17).

2.      Having paid the full price for our sins through His death on the Cross, God demonstrated His total victory over sin and it’s consequences by raising Jesus from the dead on the third day. The Bible says that if we believe in our hearts God raised Jesus from the dead and confess Him as Lord, we will be saved from our sins and their eternal consequences !

3.      All this, and more, has been given to us by God the Father, as a free gift of His love to us, through His Son Jesus. It cost Him everything, but He gives it to us freely. All that remains is for you to accept God’s gift for yourself. You can do that taking the following steps:

Agree…with God, that you have sinned and cannot save yourself. Turn from your sin, telling God that you are sorry you have lived life your own way, and are now going to go His way instead.

Believe…that God sent Jesus to pay the price for all your sins, and that He raised Him from the dead .

Confess…that Jesus is Lord ! First, declare this to the Lord Himself, and then go and tell someone else you’ve given your life to Jesus Christ.

If you haven’t yet received Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, pray this prayer out loud now:

Lord Jesus, I acknowledge that I have sinned and need you to be My Saviour. I turn from sin and give my whole life to you , believing that you died for me and rose from the dead to give me a New Life. I now confess that you, Jesus , are Lord, and I will follow you the rest of my life. Thank you for saving me now. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
