Below is the banner advertising Jonathan's mission in India. This and
another similar banner straddled the entrance and exist to the city
gates of Bhimavaram, a small city on the east coast of India (due east
of Hyderabad), near the Bay of Bengal. We conducted a 4 day mission
where 50,000 came to Christ.

50,000 give their lives to Christ!
We give all the glory and praise to God that over 50,000 gave their lives to Christ over the 4 days. It touched all our hearts as young and old, Hindu and Muslim came forward in response to the Gospel. We had come prepared with 10,000 bibles to give away thanks to many of your donations but it was not nearly enough.
The reports coming through in January were that they have establish 186 new churches from these converts. Many will be assimilated into existing churches but we are delighted that new churches have been born. Pastor Kumar and his dedicated team of pastors will be overseeing these new works. In March 05 David Pailthorpe will be going back out to this area to review the new work and bring further encouragement to the new pastors. It will also be a preparotory trip in readiness for a mission in Hyderabad in December 2005.
Jonathan held a pastors conference during the 4 day mission. 180 pastors were given great encouragement through Jonathan and the team. Vison for the mission and personal encouragement was imparted to the pastors. They were overjoyed that Jonathan had come to help them in their quest to see India saved for Christ.
The Youth event run by Stephen Pailthorpe, Joa Ephraim and Pepe Solares was a great success. About 500 people pressed into the church with another 1500 listening on relay speakers outside. Stephen preached on 'Jesus healed a leper'. He told that crowds that Jesus is the same yesterday and today and forever. if Jesus healed then He will do it today. Little did the youth team know that a grandmother was listening with her 4 yr old daughter who was covered with leprosy. When she brought her daughter forward wrapped in a sack, Stephen laid hands on her puss filled sores and commanded the leprosy to leave in the name of Jesus. Instantly it left. The grandmother was shocked and proceeded to rip off the girls clothes only to reveal that Jesus had healed this little girl. There was not a trace of the leprosy left!
